Shoppers on the Internet spent $ 46 billion online in 2007, giving an increase of over 50% more than the previous year, a report out today claims.

That is equivalent to 15p in every £ 1 of retail spending in the UK, as stated by the interactive Media in Retail Group.

 Even on Christmas Day there were over four million shoppers, who spend over £ 80 million.
